Do you recognize this kid?

Saturday, July 07, 2007

It has been awhile, I have gone back to work and had surgery to fix a umbilical hernia that I had after Carter was born but didn't know what it was. After having Cooper it was much worse and decided that I needed to have it fixed. Following is pictures of how much the kids have grown in just a month. Grandma Brady says that the kids must be growing because all the kids do is eat and sleep. She has been staying with us to help me out. I can not lift more than 10 lbs for 6 weeks after my surgery. I have 4 1/2 more weeks to go.
We have been putting Cooper in his car seat to help with his stuffy nose
Sometimes we will just start to smile and coo

I was taking pictures of Cooper and I was surprised when I saw Carter in the picture instead

Carter came out of his bedroom playing his guitar, he learned this all on his own
My boys cuddling

Carter likes to have a "smile" (as he calls it) taken
Cooper is smiling and cooing now

Day of Cooper's baby blessing

Cooper likes to arch his back when he starts to wake up

Big Difference!

I went to the doctor yesterday and he said that the baby is measuring two weeks ahead of the due date they had for me. No surprise to me. Hopefully the baby will decide to come within the next week. Any longer and I will be wearing belly shirts - not by choices. I got a pedicure tonight hoping that a foot massage might help me go into labor. It has not worked thus far.

Carter is not sure about potty training, but he sure loves his new underwear. Josh was playing football when this picture was taken. A short time before this when Josh was gone playing football I cut Carter's hair. Josh is beginning to wonder if he should leave us home by ourselves :)

I know I am late getting these pictures on here, but this was Carter's Easter at Grandma and Grandpa Brady's. I did not feel good this weekend so Josh and Lisa helped Carter on his easter egg hunt. I think that Carter made Lisa pick up half of the eggs.

Josh has been buying cars from kids that have to get rid of them for some reason or other. He sold the white car, but he is keeping the "green beast" as I like to call it. I didn't get him in the picture, but he has a huge grin on his face. He likes the car. Since this picture he has put rims on that dad had and he has buffed the paint so that it shines. He is so proud.

This is Carter's idea of potty training himself.

I am getting closer to due time. Everyone is starting to ask if I am carrying twins, and I get dirty looks in the grocery store. I guess that means that it is time to have this baby. Due date is May 15th.

Carter's story for the day -- Josh put Carter to bed and 15 minutes later we hear his bedroom door click shut. Josh opened his door and Carter hands out a diaper. Josh asked him if he needed changed. We can than see that Carter had unzipped his pj's and taken his diaper off. After getting the diaper back on Josh again took him back to bed. 5 minutes later we hear noises. Carter went in Josh and I's bedroom and turned on the TV and changed the channel. When Josh asked Carter what he was doing he replies, "Sponge Bob." He has developed his own little personality and has the mind that he is going to do whatever he wants wether we like it or not. We have our work cut out for us.

Everyone that sees me wonders if the baby is ready to come any day but, believe it or not - I have 3 months left to go. I feel smaller than I was with Carter but lately I sure do feel pregnant. This baby inside of me is growing big, he loves to kick and stretch all day longer.

Carter brought me the camera and posed for the picture.

We found out that Carter will have a brother to play with the first of May. He kisses my tummy and says baby; but, sometimes he thinks that Josh has a baby in his tummy too. Pictures of my growing belly to follow.

Josh has had the stomach flu for the past three days. The first day he was sick he called me at work and said I am sorry but the house is going to be a mess when you get home. He said that he was soo sick he could not move and he did not know what Carter was up too. Two hours later when I got home the house was not too bad until I walked into the kitchen. Carter had found my Jell-O that I keep in the bulk bags and had dumped it all over my stove. I proceeded into the bedroom to find Josh and Carter. He had put one of Josh's dress socks on, he is holding a bag of Kix's, and we are still finding Kix's in and around our bed.
